WalletHub ranked the best places in the country to rehab a home to turn the best profit, scoring metros on house-flipping market potential, renovating and remodeling costs and quality of life — all of which had maximum scores of 35. Washington D.C. scored high for its percentage of population with walkable access to parks.

According to Tim Montoya, a Realtor with Long & Foster Real Estate, there are 6,763 current listings in Baltimore County. Nearly half of them are condos listed under $300,000. From June to July, median and average list prices didn’t shift too much, according to Montoya’s data.

According to the MRIS July Housing Market Updates for the DC Metro and Baltimore, inventory in both metros are falling and pushing prices up. The lack of inventory, though, is putting a damper on the number and volume of sales.
