Podcast: Imran Poladi — 4 lessons I learned from cancer

Posted by:

When Realtor and Next Home Vice President Imran Poladi got the news in the fall of 2012 that he had 41 tumors in his body, he had to make a decision. Would he let statistics and medical professionals dictate his future, or would he choose to live on purpose every day?

After previously beating cancer in 2007 and financially losing everything, he thought there could be no lower low. Poladi chose not to hear his predicted medical fate and forged ahead with treatment, prayer — and a speaking tour. His cancer journey videos inspired others, and his message was one that people wanted to hear.

From his worldwide presentation, we invited Poladi on the show today to talk to us about how some of the lessons he learned from cancer changed the way he leads, lives and performs in the real estate industry.

Lesson 1: Don’t let other people dictate your future.

Lesson 2: Surround yourself with people who fit the three profiles.

Lesson 3: Be aware that you always have an audience.

Lesson 4: When you’re the smartest person in the room, its time to find another room.

Listen to today’s podcast to hear Poladi share his story and expand on these lessons and more. If you’ve been struggling to find your stride or have gotten by on a great personality but can’t seem to break through, Poladi has practical advice, wisdom and inspiration for the brand new agent as well as the grizzled veteran.
